Liebster award #3

As always I am so, so flattered when I get any feedback off of my posts, its such a joy knowing that people are reading what I write let alone commenting on it or liking it too! But getting nominated for these blogger awards are so lovely. I am so unbelievably touched by all of you and I want to thank you all so much for following my blog posts and also being a lovely bunch :))

So the lovely Natalie from http://allthingsbeautiful54.blogspot.co.uk/ nominated me for the liebster award.

The basic premise of the Liebster award is that you nominate 11 bloggers with less than 200 followers, you share 11 fun facts about yourself. Answer the 11 questions that the person who nominated you gave you and then you come up with 11 other questions for the bloggers you nominate.

All about me!

  • I'm a massive movie buff, I love going to the cinema and watching films. I have a massive collection and the amount of films I have seen/can quote is big/sad.
  • When I'm older I want to travel across America.
  • I'd love to learn another language. Specifically french.
  • I love travelling by train.
  • I'd love to live in a big city one day, in Britain or another country..I'm not fussy
  • I am obsessed with internet shopping.
  • I have no pets.. which makes me sad I'd love a cat, a dog and a rabbit.
  • I really want to go to a theme park. It's been years since I've been to one and I'd love to go to Thorpe Park.
  • I have such a vast range of music...From Kanye West to Blazin' Squad (lol) to Beyonce and Punjabi Mc.
  • I did the lottery for the first time ever today, mainly because the rollover is £101 million!!
  • My guilty pleasure are cat and dog videos on youtube.
The questions from Natalie!

If you could own only 3 makeup products in the entire world what would they be?
Liquid liner, black mascara and a nice eyeshadow.
What is your ultimate goal in life?
To live a good, happy life. Oooh and to have fun.
Who is your favourite blogger/youtuber?
For beauty purposes I love Tanya Burr, Pixie woo or the makeup chair. But for fun I love GloZell, Jenna Marbles or My Drunk Kitchen.
If you had to wear one lipstick colour for the rest of your life what would it be?
Oooh I think I would go for a natural pinky shade so it would go with any style or outfit.
What inspired you to start blogging?
Ahh, well I'm not really sure, I've wanted to do blogging for a long time and I think by doing a blog in school it gave me the motivation to start this one too. Also I wanted to write my thoughts and ideas down somewhere.
What is your ultimate pet peeve?
Noisy eaters. Or people who eat with their mouth open.
Your favourite book?
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.
Your favourite music artist?
Right now I really like Asaf Avidan.
What do you love the most about blogging?
I love talking/writing about beauty so I love the fact that people actual read what I'm writing about.
What advice would you give to people starting a blog?
GO FOR IT! Also I think it would help if you start with no expectations and an open mind. Write what you feel, if you truly believe in it, it'll definitely come across in your blog. And remember the internet is a big place, take a little slice for yourself to make your own.
Are you a handbag person or a shoes person?
Handbags definitely. I have a big collection and I want it to grow.

A big thank you once again to Natalie, I won't be nominating anyone for this as I have already done Liebster award posts previously.

Thank you for reading, lots of love! A. x

Nails of the day...notd

HI EVERYONE!!
How are we all?
It was so cold out today where I live. I wore a really thick, chunky, comfy knit and some jeans. Casual monday attire for me today. I decided to have a play with Barry M's new textured nail polishes. I was a bit skeptical about them as I wasn't sure what they would be like, but I purchased the pink one and I quite liked the effect.

Hopefully you can see how textured the nails look in the photo above.

what do you all think of the textured nail trend? Are you a fan of it?

Liebster Award #2

Hello there, you lovely lot. How are you all?

I apologize for the lack of posts of recent, I've been feeling a bit under the weather. A while ago Karina from http://www.boldinballerinass.blogspot.co.uk/ nominated me for a liebster award. Which is the second one I have recieved and I am mega touched/flattered! Instead of writing out another post I thought I would just answer Karina's questions as they were quite interesting!

So here we go!

Fashion or beauty?
Hmm that's a toughie, I think I might go with fashion on this one. It can just be so fun and so versatile.

What magazines do you read?
I love company, Look, More and Heat for the goss!

Your favourite trend for S/S13?
I'm loving the 90's throwback look right now, beanies, ankle boots and stonewash..gimme

Would you rather leave the house with your make-up done or your hair?
My hair looks so bad when its undone, but recently I'll be fine with going out rocking the natural look.

Favourite song at the moment?
J-Man ft - Lara Wilson How I Want Ya (it's in the netflix ads) or Mirrors by JT.

What is your all time favourite movie?
I don't really have one favourite film, I do like Grease...er and also Little Miss Sunshine is a good one.

Tv shows or films?
Ooh erm I don't watch a lot of telly but I have a few boxsets of a few shows, but I'm more likely to sit down and watch a film.

If you could speak any language other than English, which one would you choose?
Either french or italian.

What's one thing you would tell your teenage self?
Stop worrying about your body image honey.

Did you stick to any of your new year's resolutions?
Not really.. oops.

Anything could happen

Sorry for the lack of posts I have had a busy few days. Yesterday I had my driving theory test which I was feeling alright about as I felt like I knew most of the stuff that could potentially come up although I knew I could have done a lot more. However, sat in the theory test centre was a different story. I sat down in the chair and the first ten or so questions to come up were fine and I knew the answers straightaway. Throughout the test there were about 10 questions out of the total of fifty when my mind just went completely blank. Because of this I was trying to think about it as logically as possible and didn't feel as confident whatsoever. Then it went on to the hazard perception part of the test and in all the practices I've done I've never been as good in that side of things, so I focused 100% on the screen and gave it my best shot. I wasn't feeling optimistic at all coming out and when the man at the desk handed me my sheet of paper I could hardly believe I passed!! To celebrate My sister, Bronya bought herself, my mum and I a chocolate mousse cake which was really good!
This morning I collected my results for the exams I did back in January. For anything like this I usually do get quite nervous but I think because I am not going to university, at least not this year, like my friends I didn't have the added pressure of that. I got to sixth form around half past eight and picked up my results for my English literature and language and psychology exams. After the both exams I didn't come out with a particular feeling of how either one went so I wasn't too sure what to actually expect from my results. English, in my opinion is my weaker subject compared to psychology, although I'd say I enjoy English more, I found that writing essay structure after essay structure quite strenuous, especially when I didn't know what to do! However this morning I surprised myself massively, I achieved a high C in my english exam to later find out that I was 2 marks away from a B! CHUFFED!

Today I decided to go for a shiny, red shade for my nails and they looked fab in the sunny weather we were blessed with too!

Nails of the day

I thought I'd go with something slightly different today on my nails today!

I used one coat of Camoflage Chic by Rimmel London and it provided a nice, shiny even coverage :)

Nails of the day!

Sorry this post is a bit late, this should have been posted yesterday, I painted my nails a dark red/wine shade, which is a colour I'm loving at the moment I may add.

Sorry the picture isn't the best quality I took it on my blackberry! I used Barry M NP1A in Red Wine

Mind the smudging, I used some cotton buds and nail varnish remover to get rid of the unsightly bits.
