My weekend

I hope you all had a lovely weekend. For the first time in ages I don't think I stopped from Friday morning onwards now I feel like I need a few extra days rest from this weekend!

I worked both Friday and Saturday which went quite quickly however it's never very nice to be working when the weather is so lovely. On Saturday evening after I finished work I drove to a family party (with my step-dad sat next to me as I'm still a learner waa) close to Exeter. The weather was so nice and luckily for me the roads were quiet too. We decided to make the most of the sun and stayed down there for a few days.

Here are some pictures of my weekend-

I saw this in a bookshop in Lyme Regis! Congratulations Wills and Kate on the birth of your boy. #RoyalBaby

Thanks for reading! I hoped you liked it! A. x

Nails of the week

Hope you're all having a good day and enjoying the weather whatever you may be doing :)

Because of work I haven't been able to paint my nails in a while so after I finished yesterday I went over to Superdrug and bought a new nail polish ( because you can never really have too many!!) and I picked up one of the Barry M gelly hi shine nail paints in 'Greenberry'. The colour in the bottle was a light turquoise/Greeny colour and I was a bit sceptical whether it would come out in that shade too as sometimes the colour applies differently. However I got home, I went for a run (I know, in this heat, crazy!) and sat outside and painted my nails. I have to say, I am very impressed on the whole with the Barry M Gelly nail varnishes as they apply very evenly and need 1 to 2 coats. They also give a lovely shine to them :)

I hope you like them & thanks for reading! A. x

Summer wishlist

Hello again, my aren't you all looking lovely and sunkissed?!

Aside from the obvious things I'd love this summer like Miranda Kerr's Legs, Gwen Stefani's killer abs, a lovely tan, a holiday somewhere warm and luscious like Bora Bora and someone constantly topping me up with exotic, fruity cocktails. Alas, this isn't going to happen.

But this is a realistic things I want for summer or from my summer:

Cami Maxi Dress
This cami maxi dress from Topshop for £18

This roll sleeve mini dress is now only £20 from Topshop. I love the bold, blue colour!

These gladiators from Schuh cost £35 and what's Summer without a cute pair of Gladiators hey? P.s does anyone even know how to pronounce Schuh??

I tried a tester of this perfume and it is so flowery and light, perfect for summer. Valentina by Valentino costs between £50-£65.

Gradual Tan Everyday Spray

If you can't make it, fake it. But shh no one has to know that lovely tan came  out of a bottle and not a sunny two week break on the french riviera..

Klear Klutch Large Transparent Clutch Bag with Leather Pouch
I actually really like these clear clutch bags. A tad pricey at £115, I think this Klear Klutch bag is really quirky and fun for summer.

OR..for a cheaper alternative:

Eastpak Springer Bumbag
THE BUMBAG IS BACK!! Perfect if you are heading to a festival or if you just feel like reliving the 90s. This Eastpak one will cost you £20.

Mango Touch Striped Woven Summer Tote Bag
I love this mango summer beach tote costing £37.99

ASOS Maxi Dress in Aztec Print with Bow Back

I love the print on this ASOS maxi dress, in the warmer months I love wearing maxi dresses as you can dress them up in the evening or throw on loads of jewellry for a fun look in the day. This dress costs £40.

Palm Tree Print Swimsuit
I really like this palm tree print swimsuit from George at Asda costing only £12

Over summer I also really, really want to go here! I haven't been in years and this time I think I'd definitely go on the bigger rides..mainly because I'm now over the height restriction though..

My blackberry is rubbish! So I have decided to try and start saving up to get an iphone 4s. I know it sounds odd considering the iPhone 5 is out but I have heard a lot of people have had problems with the 5.

I think that's about it from me..Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed! Love A. X

Midweek rant

Hello again!

It's been a little while since I've written anything on here, I know, so here comes the first of a few posts over the next couple of days. Since my last post I can't say I've really done much other than working some extra days and seen a few friends here and there. My friend Tarryn came home from a holiday in NYC so we had a catch up and she was very thoughtful and whilst there bought me three pairs of earrings and an owl necklace, which I am wearing 2/3rds of now ha!

Slightly going off on a tangeant but it'll make sense at the end, I broke up from sixth form about two months ago and my prom was at the end of June. My sister, Bronya, who is two years older than me and other people who've left school already had told me about how quickly the two years go and how the number of people you'll keep in touch with will be very differently to the number you think you will. Thing is, for years and years I never felt like I had one best friend more I had a lot of close friends and I taking their advice I didn't think I'd lose contact with a lot of people, or at least I hoped I wouldn't do. Literally a few weeks since prom, when 99% of my year group were there, I think that if I said there were 10 people at maximum that have remained in contact with me and them starting conversations rather than me pushing it all time. I don't quite know how I feel about that if I'm honest, especially as some of the people I thought I'd keep in contact with I haven't, I go through waves of feeling hurt and upset and feel that I should make the effort to see them but then after a few destiny child's songs on repeat I think "You know what if they don't want me around then I don't care *sing I'm a surivivor*". I guess that school and being thrown together for most of our day was the only thing we really had in common. So bringing us back to the original point, I haven't really seen that many friends as they were either working, didn't want to see me (awkwardddddd sorry!) or I was working.

As Britain is currently basking in lovely weather I have been making the most of it and attempting to get a tan. Although I did also make the silly mistake today of going for a run in like 26c heat! That's dedication, stupidity, for you  haha!

I don't want to be one of those people complaining about the warm weather, don't get me wrong this is so much nicer compared to what we are used to, but working in this weather is one) so unfair especially when you see people going out enjoying the sun and two) where I work, there is no air conditioning and it causes the shop to get so stuffy and hot UGH.

I hope you have had a lovely couple of weeks and if you are from the Uk I hope you have been making the most of this lovely weather, slap on that factor 25 and think of me in a hot, stuffy shop haha!

thank you so much for reading another late night rant, love A. x
