My weekend away

Hello!

After I finished work on Saturday this weekend my dad and I drove down and met my mum, sister and puppy at my grandparents holiday home just outside of seaside town Lyme Regis in Dorset. We stayed there from Saturday evening to Tuesday afternoon and it was really nice to just get away for a few days as well as having the Monday and Tuesday off of work! I thought I'd share some snaps of what I got up to with you all.

On Sunday we first went to a cute little farm shop.
They had so many nice foods and drinks and the owners go to France once a week to pick up some fresh new produce.
I spotted some rather lovely BN biscuits which I remembered from when I was a child.
So I bought two, the dark chocolate and the milk chocolate one.

Some various French soups.

Giant babybel.

French biscuits too! Why does everything look and sound so much nicer when it has foreign writing on it..? Is it just me that thinks this?!

Here's an example of this though! Limonata sounds a lot nicer than Lemonade.

The vast array of Lindt chocolates was like a dream, wasabi flavour sounds a bit too out there for me I think!

They also sold these Lindt Creation chocolate bars which all had a gorgeous, rich, creamy filling!

Whilst on my travels on Sunday I spotted a car very similar to the Harry Potter car.
Weasley car!

Oh I do love to be beside the seaside.. Beach huts in the spring sunshine.

I saw some cool architecture above an ice cream shop.

Yesterday I had a lazy day as I wasn't feeling too great and the weather was overcast.

Today we popped into town in the morning and we went into an antique shop on the seafront which had some really cool things.

Some vintage brooches for sale in there.

Cups, plates and saucers galore!

Some old pennies for sale.

I love the vibrant patterns and colours of some of the vintage clothes.

Some vintage rings. I've just realised how bad the photography is here in this picture, sorry! Underneath you can also see a Babycham deer!

I have a thing for turquoise and silver jewellery at the moment and these rings were right up my street.

Pink house on the seafront.

There is also a Seasalt shop in the town it used to be an outlet store although I'm not sure if it still is.

The view from the middle of the high street.

At the top end of town there was a vintage indoor market going on and I spotted these gorgeous brooches glistening away. Note my tatty converse in the bottom of the picture too..oops!

I saw this giant amethyst too. I think there's something about this that I find so interesting, the vivid colours of the purple in the stone, the texture of the stone and how ostentatiously it stands.

Little Charlie is also seven months old today!

Breakfast in bed nails.

Hello, I hope you all had a lovely bank holiday weekend. I'd like to just say I usually really dislike celebrity things like fragrances, cosmetics, eyelashes, fake tans etc but I must admit I am really really impressed with the Rita Ora collection from Rimmel London. I am a big fan of Rimmel London cosmetics and make up anyway too but I am really loving their nail polishes at the moment (as you may have seen in many previous posts)

This is the polish in the shade Breakfast in Bed. It's a lovely, very light, pastel blue colour. I think it's a really cute shade and would look great in some sandals on tanned tootsies!

The amethyst ring is from Topshop. My two midi rings are from River Island. And my thumb is looking red here because I got another ring I was going to wear stuck. Silly chubby hands!!

The nail polish may look a little chipped here but I painted my nails on the Friday night, went to work on Saturday and took my polish off this morning. I applied two coats and I was really happy with the finish. I'd totally recommend this polish or any colour from this range for that matter! Not only do they have great colours but cool names too!

Thanks for reading I hope you liked this post, love A, x

My April in photos.

Pinch punch first of the month! Can you believe we're in May already. For me April seemed to fly by, much like the rest of the year seems to have! April was a bit of an up and down month for me. I saw a lot of my friends as they came home from university, I worked a lot too and also suffered a bit feeling quite unwell towards the end of the month. Hopefully I'll feel better and myself again soon.

I hope you all had a cracking April too!

Going from left to right starting with the top row:
Left: I had a little treat of a McDonalds McChicken Sandwich.
Middle: I ordered this new phone case off of Amazon and it costed only about £4 including the £2 post and packaging. To then find out it was a fake Moschino one that would have cost around £40. I love it but I wouldn't have paid that much   for it!
Right: We went out for a meal for my Dad's birthday and for dessert I had two yummy waffles, drizzled with warm chocolate sauce and with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.

Middle row.
Left: This was the beautiful view I had one day after I finished work. The weather was glorious.
Middle: This is was an old throwback photo of me and a good friend, Tarryn, at our sixth form leavers ball in the summer last year.
Right: I went out for some drinks for my friend's birthday. Here is a photo from the night of me and my two great friends, Sam and George!

Bottom row:
Left: This is another old photo I uploaded of when I was in Brick Lane in 2012 and saw some amazing graffiti. I really loved this one.
Middle: My puppy, Charlie; turned six months old at the end of April. He is such a little cutie and I love him so much.
Right: On Tuesday I had a day off work so mum, my sister and I went towards the coast and did a spot of shopping. For lunch we got some food from M&S and I got this marvellous flat bread which had a pumpkin and sultana falafel, butternut squash houmous and griddled peppers and courgettes. It was so good!
