OOTD

So I have a few days off work and shock horror I'm up and out of bed before half 10! 

I don't have anything planned to do today which'll be nice. I'll get myself up to date on my blog and with emails. Clean my room and I may (keyword here is may) take on the mammoth task of sorting out my wardrobe. .

Anyway my outfit of the day today is primarily from New Look.

Nails, nails, nails!

Hello! 

Another bleak Monday morning but on the upside at least I've got a few days off of work. 

I have painted my talons because I'm a glamorous bird with Barry M gelly nail polish in the shade blue grape. As you may know I am a big, big fan of Barry M particularly their gelly nail polishes. I love the shine the give the nail once applied and I love the bold colours too. 

I love the bright blue colour! I have only applied one coat as you can see my actual nail a bit underneath.

Barry M eye shadow palette

Hello!! I hope you've all had a lovely weekend so far. 

This post is quite overdue, I got sent the new Barry M smokey eye shadow palette a few weeks ago and I've been meaning to put this post up but I have been a bit lazy and something would get in the way. 

So Barry M have launched three new eye and cheek palettes recently from Smokin' Hot, Glamour Puss and Natural Glow. They cost £6.49 and come with six different eye shadow shades inside and one cheek blush. You can create your own look using the great shades inside to make something to suit you. 

The inside view of the palette. And my top knot.  I like that this palette comes with a mirror in case you're doing you're make up on the go. I think it's a nice touch but I doubt I'd use that as I prefer to be able to rest my arms on a table to steady them and use my make up mirror.

I really like the fact that there is a white and a peach eye shadow as these could be used as eyeshadows for a lighter, daytime look or even as a highlighter underneath the brow. 

After swatching them I realised that the white and peach shades didn't really show up after application. I tried to take a clearer shot of them and added more colour but it still didn't make much of a difference which was annoying. 

I swatched them from l-r to right in the palette and on my hand. As you can see the black shades come out nicely  and they don't fade that easily too. The second black shade in from my thumb has glittery silver specks in it so it'd look great  on a night out. 

I think the white is a lot clearer in this one. 

Also here the lighter shades should be a bit easier to see.


With this eye shadow palette the first five shades are more of a powder consistency making them easy to apply. I like the fact the darker black eye shadow is of a slightly more waxy consistency thus meaning it should last longer on the lids or can be used to double up as an eyeliner.

The blush shade works well with my skin tone as it's a pinky colour and as I have very fair skin it gives a nice rosy glow.

About Time

Hello! 

Last night I went out with one of my close friends, Titch (her real name is Alex but because I have only ever called her by her nickname it's weird to call her by her actual name) anyway we went out for a meal at Chiquito's which is a tex-mex restaurant and then went to see About Time. 

I was a little bit sceptical about Chiquito's food because as much as I love mexican food when I have it at home it's never very hot or spicy and I don't really like food that is too hot. Nevertheless I really enjoyed my meal and it was quite mild too. 

For starter's I had nacho's with sour cream, salsa and guacamole ooh and cheese we must never ever forget cheese. It was a massive bowl and it was YUM. Titch had deep filled potato skins and you had a choice of what the filling could be and she had bbq pulled pork and cheese and it looked and smelled delicious. 

The mains took a while to come out but they said at the beginning they had a big party in and the restaurant was quite busy, we made it in time for the film so it was alright in the end. 
For the main meal I got a wrap called The Border which was really lovely. In it was southern fried chicken, bbq sauce, ranch sauce and lettuce leaves. On the side of this came some skin on fries, salad and coleslaw. It was really tasty but there was a little bit too much so I couldn't finish it all. Titch had a bbq pulled pork burger with a side of fries and coleslaw. When it came out it looked really good ,and to be fair I had food envy everywhere I looked here. 

I hadn't ever been to a Chiquito's before and I really enjoyed it. I thought the food was really good and I liked the chilled out feel of the place. Each table even had a martini glass full of popcorn on each table, which I thought was a really novel idea. 

We then went to see About Time and I really enjoyed it. It's a typical Richard Curtis romcom with lashings of laughs throughout towards the end it gets quite sad however but I really enjoyed it and would recommend it. The actors/actresses in it are Rachel McAdams, Domhnall Gleeson (Bill Weasley from Harry Potter) as well as Bill Nighy. 

I really liked About Time and would totally recommend anyone to watch it plus it's the only film I've ever cried at in the cinema!

Halloween nails

HELLO! So this is the first week I've ever worked almost everyday and I'm finding it very weird and I feel like a proper adult going to work everyday haha! 

I bought some nail wheels off of amazon on Monday and they arrived today (they cost £1.72 for 10 wheels and free postage and packaging yay)

So I decided to do some fun halloween nail art designs on them first.

11 facts about me!

I live in a little village in England. Growing up I always hated living in the countryside and would hope we would move somewhere big and exciting, but at the end of the day I'm a country girl at heart and would miss the peace and quiet of living in the middle of nowhere. 

When I was little, about 3, I would watch Cinderella on video and then when it finished I would rewind it back to the beginning and watch it again. And then do that again. Needless to say I was a big fan of Cinders.. 

Reality tv shows are my guilty pleasure. I love The Only Way is Essex, Made in Chelsea, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Ice Loves Coco. You name a bad tv show and it's more than likely I'll be watching it.

I have a serious sweet tooth. Puddings and cakes and all sorts of other yummy things are my weakness. 

I am also very fussy when it comes to food. I don't like onions, mushrooms, olives, mustard, mangoes and although I'm not a vegetarian I don't really like meat. Also I find it weird when people have hot food and also drink at hot drink at the same time??

I've never had a best friend before. Which makes me a bit sad. 

My parents divorced when I was about 7/8 and back then I thought it was the worst thing in the world but now I can't imagine my life any other way as I live with my mum, sister and stepdad. 

I have a slight obsessive boxset disorder (Is it a thing? I'm making it a thing now)  I cannot put one on and just watch one episode. I became a  big fan of Gossip Girl this way. 

I got a new car last week. It's a silver Punto and it hasn't been named yet. 

I want to get stuck into a good book now the night's are drawing and getting colder. Any suggestions?

Blogging is one of my favourite things to do. Only a handful of friends know about my blog, I can't imagine a time when I will stop blogging. <3

I loved Saved By the Bell, Spongebob Squarepants and That's So Raven.

I adore Sprinkleofglitter everything from her hauls, to the vlogs with Zoella and also the vlogs with Baby Glitter in are the cutest! I am also a big fan of Zoella and Myharto.

Oooh ok that's a toughie.  There are so many great bloggers out there and I have only found and follow a tiny fraction of them. I love Lizzie at Head-Full-of-flowers. She is such a lovely, kind person and her blog shows that. 

What is your favourite high end make up brand and product? 

Mac and Chanel. I love the dark red/plum lipstick shades Mac have right now. And I also really want to try Chanel's Inimitable mascara, I've heard a lot of great things about that. 

What is your favourite drugstore make up brand and product? 

Barry M. I love their collection of nail polishes. Also Rimmel London's Wake Me Up foundation is great.

What made you want to start blogging?

I had been thinking about it for  a while and made my account on Blogspot in July 2012. I couldn't for the life of me figure out where to start so two months later came my first post in September. It all started as a way for me to get my writing out there and also to express my views and opinions on the clothes and make up that I love. 

What's one good life lesson that you have experienced that you think is good to share with people?

Cherish those you love. Live, laugh, love. Most importantly do what makes you happy. 

What is your dream job?

Ha that changes daily. I'd love to work as a charity worker. A writer. A sweet shop owner would be fun too..

What do you want to be if you could be one and why?

A labrador. They always look so happy! 

Where would you want to live and why?

The Almafi Coast in Italy. I love the relaxed way of life in the Med and Italian foods. 

Where would you like to go on holiday and why?

I would love to visit every continent. I love travelling and so far I haven't ventured outside of Europe. I'd love to go Africa and see the different ways of life and go on Safari. America has always interested me too as there is so much to do and see there is something for everyone.

Chelsea Doll wishlist

So payday is looming in the distance and I've already found like a billion things I want to buy online as per usual..
