Boots, Topshop and Primark haul!

I went into town with my sister yesterday to do a spot of shopping, we had some lunch at Pizza Hut and we even saw our grandparents too!

I'll start with Primark. Because it is the Holy Grail of shops after all..

I got this dark green jumper for £3 reduced from £6. It was in the men's department, in a large size as I prefer the oversized look and I saw a similar one in Urban Outfitters once which was a lot more expensive.

Topshop
I got two pieces of jewellery today, nothing else really took my fancy.
I liked this delicate little necklace. I really like the look of simple necklaces like this one that you could easily wear all the time.

So cute! And I don't usually wear gold jewellery either I tend to prefer silver. This was £4.50

I really like this chunky gold chain bracelet. It was £5.50

Boots
I picked up some face pads as I'm nearly running out! Then I bought a Boots tea tree and witch hazel face wash. This range is inexpensive, works a treat on me and leaves your skin feeling oh so soft! It's not a typical blogger buy but I love the Original Source shower gels. The line one smells so good!
I picked up a Seventeen primer as the one I use is a bit old and the pump no longer works which is annoying as it has about a quarter left and was very good. As I'm a bit of a magpie for nail polishes I also got a Seventeen graffiti polish, a Seventeen pearlescent polish and a Rimmel London bright orange polish too.

The pearlescent one is very similar to both a Topshop and a Model's Own shade. I really like the bright orange I think it would look really nice in the summer.

Each polish with two coats. The two nails on the left are the graffiti polish one with a black polish underneath and another just plain on a white nail wheel.

My favourite nail art wheel!

Hello everyone I hope you're all having a good week!

As you all may know I am slightly obsessed with all things nail arty! So I created this nail wheel of all my current favourite nail art ideas!

From the top white one going clockwise:
Barry M white with a black nail art pen to create the look of a moustache but now I think if looks more like a bat ha!

I used a collection lasting gel colour in coral reef with a black nail art pen.

I used a Barry M nail paint in Mint Green with a white nail art pen.

I used a Barry M nail paint in black. Then used a white nail art pen and drew a triangle from the top of the nail. I waited for that to dry and then used a black nail art pen to draw a bow tie and three small shirt buttons. I did a tutorial on this a few years ago which should be on my blog somewhere!

I then used a Gosh nail paint in the shade 569 Flamingo all over the nail. When that dried I drew a black stripe down the nail and coloured the other half in white. I find it easier to do it this way as I don't have a very steady hand. In the white side I used the liner side of a black nail art pen.

For this one I used a Rimmel London shade in Oh Boy You're So Fine. I waited for that to dry and then used a Barry M white polish to dab random spots and shapes on the nail. Then went round the white parts with a black nail art pen either dotting round them or a semi circle.

I used a Barry M colour in bright red. Then at the tip of the nail I drew some white lines. Once they dried i drew an anchor over the top with a black nail art pen.

I used a nude colour No7 colour for the base. I used a brown Barry M shade to randomly dot on the nail. Once that had dried I added extra details with a black nail pen around the brown dots or in any empty spaces.

For the top half of the nail I used a 17 yellow polish and I used an old eye shadow applicator as I lost my sponge and dabbed on the Barry M gelly nail paint in the colour mango. Once this had dried I drew a palm tree with a black nail art pen.

The base colour i used was Barry M paint in Cyan blue. Once that dried I used a white nail art pen to draw clouds.

I used an orange gelly nail polish in mango. At the bottom I used a black nail art pen and used a white pen to fill in the middle. Once that dried I wrote POW with a black nail art pen and used the white pen to add dots to the orange part.

I used the Barry M white paint for the base colour and a black nail art pen to draw the cross.

I used a blue/purple colour and drew an A on it with a black pen.

Next I used a Model's Own colour in 24 carat gold and went over the top with a Model's Own hed kandi in disco heaven. Over that I drew a lightning stripe shape with a black nail pen.

I used a collection lasting gel colour in Antique Rose and drew a black stripe down the middle. Then on the the other side i used the models own hed kandi glitter to add a bit of sparkle.

It's not really nail art but the next nail is possibly my favourite nail colour. It's black cherries by Rimmel London! I love it!

I used a Barry M black nail polish and used a matte polish at the tip of the nail.

And last but not least I used a collection nail polish in Look At Me and then used a black nail art pen to draw little zig zags across it.

Boots,Superdrug and New Look haul

Hi you!

My shopping bags and my H&M handbag.
So I went shopping today and I wasn't going to spend a lot of money as I'm (keyword here) supposed to be saving money. Well that certainly didn't go to plan. As soon as I see the word 'sale' or 'buy one get one free' etc my mind goes "Buy. Buy it now!".

Also in my defence it was raining really heavily so I was kind of forced into buying stuff right?? Erm someone back me up here..

So I'll start with Boots!

I got a baby pink lip liner pencil from Barry M costing £2.99.

Bourjois pencil sharpener as I don't have one and it cost £2.49 and its a pretty colour too!
I don't know if Boots have got a new beauty line in or I just never noticed Sinful Colours before but they have a fantastic and massive line of nail varnishes for £1.99 and I picked up a few (five..oops)

This is really cool metalic burgundy shade called Dancing Nails. Super cute!

Same as above.

I really like this shade of pink it's not too garish and it has a kinda matte look to it. It's called  Pink Forever.

Same as above.

I really like this shiny metallic purple colour. I think it's  fun and I don't own anything like it . This one is called Let's Talk.
Same as above.

This polish is a similar shade to the one above but its a lot more glittery and pretty. It's called  Frenzy.

Same as above.

I think this metallic white shade is really cool  and there is a kind of 'Mother of Pearl' feel about it. This shade is called Tokyo Pearl.

Same as above.

 SUPERDRUG!!

These are so handy and I just ran out of them  but in Superdrug they had  2 for 1 or some sort of similar offer on.

I bought these for £1.99 I've used them before and they are so simple to use and they work really well. I'd 100% recommend them!

I got this MUA mascara for a pound (what a bargain!!) I'll do a review on them soon.

I've seen these Baby Lips moisturisers all over the bloggersphere and wanted to get one and see what they're like! There is a buy one get one half price on all Maybeline products so I got two!

I got the clear minty one above and this pink coloured one. The Baby Lips  moisturisers cost £2.99.
I got this Collection 2000 gel eyeliner  for £4.99 I've never tried it before so am looking forward to trying it!

I used up some of my superdrug points on this L'oreal eyeliner which  is my favourite. It costs £6.49  but I think it's totally worth it.
I also got this MUA lisptick in a light pink colour for £2.

The colour doesn't show up that well but i'll do a post on it soon and hopefully it'll show the colour better.

New Look
I got this black and white geometric jumper for £11. I really liked the pattern on it and I bought it in  a bigger size because I love wearing comfy baggy jumpers in the Winter.

This is the geometric pattern on the jumper.

I got this black A line skirt for £7. It has a cool flowery embossed print on it.

Close up of the embossed print.

I picked up this sleeveless white shirt for £8. I think that it will come in handy as I could wear it tucked into a skirt, with jeans or with a jumper over it.

I also got this white t shirt that has a crocodile print style material.  This cost £9.

It also has a little zip feature on it.

the daily nail! (notd)

HELLO!!

I thought i'd liven things up and change the font colour. My life is very exciting as you can tell haha.

The daily 'Nails of The Day' blog is here. Last night I went out with my mum and sister to the theatre to see a dance troupe perform a show about a young man's journey through life and portraying the loss of innocence. I'm not much of a thespian so to be honest I wasn't quite sure what to expect and also the only real reason we went was because my cousin Luke was in charge of the lighting and stage effects and as the company came down near us we wanted to see what he did.

The production is called Echo by Zoielogic (check them out they are very good and if they come to a theatre near you I would definitely recommend it)

Back to the nails! I wanted to go with something bright and bold today as it's all rainy and dreary out.

I used a Bourjois nail polish in the shade Lime Catwalk and it came out super smoothly and two coats gave my nails a nice shine!

Barry M Gelly Hi shine review!

Hello lovelies! As you are all probably aware, I am a big fan of BarryM products and the BarryM Gelly hi shine nail polishes.  They cost £3.99 so one pound more than their other nail polishes and I think they are really very good.
All of the gelly nail polishes have a fruit theme perfect for the spring or summer. As seen underneath I have: (Going L-R) Pomegranate, Mango, Greenberry and Blue Grape.

With one to two coats it gives a nice, smooth, bold colour and once dried it gives a lovely shine to the nails. I find this nail polish slightly thicker compared to other barryM nail polishes so it may be quite gloopy when applied and it also takes a bit longer to dry.

As this is a hi shine nail polish there is no need for a top coat to be used, although if you want to use one I would say to wait about 20 minutes before applying it to make sure the coats are fully dried.

I am very pleased with these nail polishes, if you are looking for a good polish, which is durable and provides even colour I'd totally recommend this one.

Thanks for reading, I hope you liked it. Love,a x
